Anne Snyder tries to keep levity and gravitas see-sawing from her window along the columnist corridor at The New York Times. Originally from Boston but given the international bug from a childhood spent overseas, she graduated from Wheaton College (IL) and continued learning at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and World Affairs Journal. While these jobs gave her a vocabulary to express delight at the intersections of culture and philosophy, the texture of real, lived human experience remains the mover behind her pen.
